Who we are
Form My Company is a UK company formation agent based in Edinburgh, Scotland. It is a trading name of IBA Limited, registered in Scotland (company number SC660379), and we are an Authorised Corporate Service Provider (ACSP) registered with Companies House.
We help people set up limited companies, LLPs and other UK entities, and then look after the paperwork that comes with running one.
Our team brings together more than 15 years of combined experience in UK company formation and company administration. We work with first-time founders, freelancers moving from sole trader to limited company, established business owners adding a new company, and entrepreneurs who live outside the UK.
Based in Edinburgh
Our office is at 9a Tinto Place, Edinburgh EH6 5GD. We form companies in all three UK jurisdictions: England and Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland. We can provide a registered office address in Edinburgh or London, so your company can have an official UK address wherever you live.
Visits are by appointment only, but most clients never need to visit. Everything can be done online, by email or by phone.
What we do
- Company formation — private limited companies, companies limited by guarantee, LLPs, charities, PLCs and companies for non-residents. See Company formation and Compare packages.
- Addresses and privacy — a Registered Office Address, a Director Service Address and virtual offices, so your home address stays off the public register.
- Companies House filings — confirmation statements, director changes, share issues, name changes, dissolution and restoration.
- Accounts and tax filings — dormant accounts, annual accounts and Self Assessment returns, prepared with our accounting partners.
- Documents for use abroad — apostilles, notarised documents and certificates of good standing or incumbency.
You can see everything we offer on our Company services page.
How we work
We keep the process short and predictable:
- You choose a package or service and pay online. The price you see includes VAT, and the Companies House fee where one applies.
- You sign in to your client account with a link we email to you — no password to remember.
- You fill in a guided form with the company details. We check it before anything is filed.
- We verify the identity of each director and person with significant control remotely, as a Companies House ACSP, and give each person their personal code.
- We submit the application and upload your documents to your account as soon as they are ready.
Your client account shows the status of every order, holds your documents and lets you message our team directly. When we need something from you, we ask once and say exactly what we need.
Because we are a regulated business, we must carry out anti-money-laundering checks on our clients. We do these checks as part of every order, and we keep your documents secure.
Languages we serve
Our website and support are available in English, Lithuanian, Russian, French, German, Italian and Polish. If English is not your first language, you can write to us in your own language and get a clear answer back. Official documents from Companies House are always issued in English.
What makes us different
- Fixed, clear prices. Every formation package includes the £100 Companies House fee, and every price includes VAT. We tell you about renewals before they are due, and we do not add charges you did not agree to.
- Identity checks done by us. As a Companies House Authorised Corporate Service Provider (ACSP), we verify directors' and PSCs' identity ourselves — remotely, as part of your order. You do not have to deal with GOV.UK One Login on your own.
- Fast registration. We usually submit the same working day, and most companies are registered within 24 hours.
- Real people. You deal with a small team in Edinburgh, not a call centre. The person who answers your message can see your order.
- Up to date with the rules. Company law changed significantly with the Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Act 2023, including identity verification for directors and new rules on registered addresses. We build these changes into how we work, so your company is set up correctly from day one.
- Help after registration. Forming the company is only the start. We remind you about key deadlines and can handle the filings for you.
What we do not do
We are not lawyers or tax advisers. We can explain how company formation and Companies House filings work, but we cannot give legal or tax advice for your situation. Where that matters — for example, choosing between a sole trader and a limited company, or tax residence for a non-resident director — we will suggest you speak to an accountant or lawyer.
