In short: For £250 a year per director, per company, you can use our address as your director service address on the Companies House register. Your residential address still has to be given to Companies House, but it is kept on a protected record and is not shown to the public. Official letters sent to you as a director are scanned and emailed to you.

Why directors need a service address
Every director of a UK company must give Companies House two addresses:
- a service address, also called a correspondence address, which is shown on the public register; and
- a residential address, which is where you actually live.
If you give your home as your service address, it becomes public. It can then appear on search engines and data websites for many years, even after you stop being a director. Our Director Service Address puts our office address on the public record instead.
What happens to your home address
You still have to give your residential address to Companies House. The law requires it. However, it is treated as protected information. It is not shown on the public register, and Companies House shares it only with certain public authorities and credit reference agencies in limited situations.
The same applies to people with significant control (PSCs): their usual residential address is not published as long as a separate service address is given.
How it works
- Order the service for each director who wants privacy.
- We complete identity and anti-money-laundering checks.
- For a new company, we enter our address as your service address on the application. For an existing appointment, we file the change with Companies House.
- Letters addressed to you as a director arrive at our office. We scan and email them to you.
The fee covers one director for one company. If you are a director of two companies, or your company has three directors, each needs its own service.
Removing your home address from older filings
Changing your service address today does not change documents already on the register. If your home address appears on your incorporation documents or earlier filings, it will still be visible there.
You can apply separately to Companies House to remove your home address from those older documents, using form SR01. Companies House charges a fee for each document, and there are rules about which addresses can be removed. You must also have a different service address on the register. This is a separate matter from our service, but we can explain the process. What this service is not
A director service address is not a registered office. Your company also needs its own registered office address, which is public. If you do not want to use your home for that either, add our Registered Office Address.

Common mistakes
- Entering your home address as your service address "just for now" — it becomes public straight away.
- Forgetting that each company you direct needs its own service address entry.
- Letting the service lapse without filing a new service address. If Companies House letters to your service address go unanswered or are returned, it can place your residential address on the public register.
Frequently asked questions
Will my home address be completely hidden?
From the public register, yes, for future filings. Companies House still holds your residential address, and older documents that show it stay public unless you apply to have it removed.
Can I remove my home address from old filings?
Yes, you can apply to Companies House using form SR01. Companies House charges a fee per document and checks the request. This is separate from our service fee.
Is this the same as a registered office address?
No. The registered office is the company's address. The service address is the director's own correspondence address. Many clients use both: see our Registered Office Address.
Does the fee cover all directors of my company?
No. £250 a year covers one director for one company. Each extra director or company needs a separate service.
Can a person with significant control use this address?
Yes. A PSC can also give our address as their service address so their home address is not shown on the register.
Does Companies House ever share my home address?
Only in limited cases. It can share protected residential addresses with certain public authorities and credit reference agencies, but not with the general public.
