In short: £295 covers creating or claiming your Google Business Profile and completing it: category, opening hours, service area, description, contact details and the photos you provide. We then request verification. Google carries out verification itself and decides the method. What a Google Business Profile is
A Google Business Profile is your free business listing on Google Search and Google Maps. It shows your name, category, hours, location or service area, phone number, website, photos and reviews. For many local businesses it is the first thing a customer sees.
Is your business eligible?
Google decides who can have a profile, not us. Its guidelines say a business must make in-person contact with customers during its stated hours. That can be at your premises, or at the customer's location if you travel to them.
Google's guidelines also say these are not eligible:
- online-only businesses
- rental or for-sale properties, such as holiday homes
- lead generation agents
- businesses whose address is a PO box or a mailbox in a remote location
If your business works only online, or your only UK address is a mailbox or virtual office, a profile may not be right for you. We check this with you before you pay.
How it works
- You send us your business details, hours, the area you serve and your photos.
- We check your eligibility against Google's guidelines.
- We create a new profile, or claim an existing listing if Google already shows one.
- We complete every relevant section and write the description with you.
- We request verification. Google chooses the method, which may include a video, a phone call, an email or a postcard.
- Once verified, we confirm you are the profile owner and hand it over.
Verification
Google verifies businesses itself. We cannot verify a profile for you or speed it up. Google may ask for evidence, such as a short video showing your premises, signage or equipment. We tell you what to prepare. If Google asks for more information or refuses verification, we help you understand what it asked for.
What we do not promise
We do not promise any position in Google Search or Maps, or any number of calls, visits or reviews. Google decides how profiles are ranked. A complete, accurate profile gives your business a sound starting point; what happens next depends on your business, your customers and your competitors.
We do not write or buy reviews. Fake reviews break Google's rules and can lead to your profile being suspended.
Owning your profile
You are the owner of the profile. If we need access during setup, we remove it once we hand over, unless you ask us to stay on as a manager.
A Google Business Profile works best with a website to link to. See our One-Page Website and Social Media Setup services. Google Business Profile setup is also part of the Entrepreneurs Choice Package.
Common mistakes
- Adding keywords to the business name, which breaks Google's guidelines
- Using a mailbox or PO box address as the business location
- Creating a second profile when one already exists
- Leaving old hours or an old phone number on the profile
Frequently asked questions
Can you guarantee my business will rank on Google Maps?
No. Google decides rankings, and nobody can guarantee a position. We set up a complete, accurate profile that follows Google's guidelines.
Who verifies my Google Business Profile?
Google verifies it and decides the method, such as a video, phone call, email or postcard. We request verification and tell you what to prepare.
Can I have a profile if my business is online only?
Not usually. Google's guidelines require in-person contact with customers during your stated hours, at your premises or at the customer's location.
Can I use a virtual office address?
Google's guidelines do not allow a PO box or a mailbox in a remote location as a business address. We check your situation before you order.
Google already shows a listing for my business. Can you claim it?
Yes. We request ownership of the existing listing instead of creating a duplicate. Google may ask the current owner to respond first.
Who owns the profile after setup?
You do. We set you as the owner and remove our access after hand-over, unless you ask us to stay on as a manager.
