In short: £1,500 forms a UK private limited company for founders who live outside the UK, including VAT and the £100 Companies House fee. You get the full company formation, a UK registered office and director service address, a remote identity check done by us as a Companies House ACSP, mail scanning and forwarding, and introductions to banking providers. You do not need to visit the UK. The company is usually registered within 24 hours of identity checks being complete.
What's included
- The £100 government fee Companies House charges to register a new company. It's already included in our price — there's nothing extra to pay.
- We check your proposed name against the Companies House register and the naming rules, and suggest alternatives if it's taken or needs approval.
- The official certificate from Companies House proving your company exists, with its name, number and date of incorporation.
- The memorandum records who founded the company; the articles are the company's rulebook — how directors make decisions, how shares work and more.
- A document for each shareholder showing how many shares they own. You'll often need it to open a bank account or prove ownership.
- The legal records every company must keep: members (shareholders), directors, people with significant control and more. We set them up for you.
- Every director and person with significant control must verify their identity with Companies House. As an Authorised Corporate Service Provider (ACSP) we can do it for you remotely and give you your personal code.
- A six-character code from Companies House that works like your company's signature for online filings. Keep it safe.
- We register your new company with HMRC for Corporation Tax, so you're set up to pay tax on profits from the start.
- Track your order, fill in company details, download your documents and message our team in one place — and ask us questions for as long as you're a client.
- The legally required checks on the people behind a company (UK Money Laundering Regulations). We complete them as part of your order.
- Lifetime email and phone support
- Your company's official address on the public register, where Companies House and HMRC send letters. Ours keeps your home address private; we scan and email your official mail.
- The address shown publicly for each director instead of their home address. Your home address still goes to Companies House but stays private.
- Every director and person with significant control must verify their identity with Companies House. As an Authorised Corporate Service Provider (ACSP) we can do it for you remotely and give you your personal code.
- Mail scanning and forwarding
- Introductions to business banking and payment providers
Can I form a UK company if I do not live in the UK?
Yes. UK law does not require directors or shareholders to live in the UK, or to be British citizens. A company needs at least one director who is a person aged 16 or over, and it needs a UK registered office address.
What makes it harder from abroad is the practical side: a UK address, identity checks, receiving official post and opening a bank account. This package is designed to solve those.
What this package includes
- Full company formation with the £100 Companies House fee included, digital documents, HMRC Corporation Tax registration and lifetime support. See the Digital Package for the complete list.
- UK registered office. Your company's official address, where Companies House and HMRC send letters.
- Director service address. The public correspondence address for each director, so your home address abroad stays off the public register.
- Remote identity verification. As a Companies House ACSP, we verify each director and person with significant control remotely, from their own country, and give each person their personal code.
- Mail scanning and forwarding. We open official mail, scan it to you and forward originals when needed. See Mail Handling and Forwarding.
- Banking introductions. We introduce you to business banking and payment providers that work with companies whose directors live abroad.
Identity verification from abroad
Since 18 November 2025 every new director and person with significant control must verify their identity with Companies House. Form My Company is a Companies House Authorised Corporate Service Provider (ACSP), so we can complete this check for you remotely, as part of your order, and give you your Companies House personal code. You do not need to travel or use GOV.UK One Login on your own — though you still can if you prefer.
About business bank accounts
Many founders choose a UK company so they can trade in pounds and with UK customers. Banks make their own decisions and apply their own checks, especially for directors outside the UK. We cannot guarantee that any bank or payment provider will open an account for your company. What we can do is introduce you to providers that accept non-resident directors and help you prepare the documents they usually ask for.
Where will my company pay tax?
A company registered in the UK is normally treated as UK tax resident and must register for Corporation Tax with HMRC. But tax residence also depends on where the company is managed and controlled. If the directors run the company from another country, that country may also treat it as tax resident there, and a tax treaty between the two countries may decide which one has the right to tax it.
Your personal tax position also depends on the country you live in. Before you start trading, speak to a tax adviser in your country of residence. We do not give tax advice.
Sanctions and anti-money-laundering checks
We must check every client against UK sanctions lists and carry out anti-money-laundering checks. We cannot act for any person or company subject to UK sanctions, or where a sanctioned person owns or controls the business. We may ask for extra documents, such as proof of address or source of funds, before we start.
How it works
- Check your company name and pay online.
- Upload identity documents for each director and person with significant control securely in your client account.
- We complete our anti-money-laundering checks and the Companies House identity verification, and give each person their personal code.
- We form the company using our UK addresses.
- Your documents arrive by email, and we set up mail scanning and arrange banking introductions.
What you need to provide
- The proposed company name and a description of the business
- A valid passport for each director and person with significant control
- Proof of residential address (for example a recent utility bill or bank statement)
- Shareholder names and number of shares
- A registered email address for Companies House to contact the company
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to visit the UK to set up a company?
No. The whole process, including identity verification, can be completed remotely — we carry out the Companies House identity check for you as an ACSP.
Can a foreign national be a director of a UK company?
Yes. Directors and shareholders can be any nationality and live anywhere in the world. At least one director must be a person aged 16 or over.
Will you open a UK bank account for my company?
We introduce you to banking and payment providers that work with non-resident directors, but each provider makes its own decision. We cannot guarantee an account will be opened.
Will my UK company pay tax in the UK or in my country?
It depends on where the company is managed and controlled, and on any tax treaty between the UK and your country. Please take advice from a tax adviser where you live.
Does a UK company give me the right to live or work in the UK?
No. Owning or directing a UK company does not give you any immigration rights. Visas are a separate matter handled by the UK Home Office.
Can you work with clients from any country?
We work with founders from many countries, but we cannot act for anyone subject to UK sanctions, and all clients must pass our anti-money-laundering checks.
