Privacy Company Formation Package

Form your company with our London or Edinburgh address as its registered office and your service address, so your home address stays off the public register.

In short: £1,000 forms a UK private limited company, including VAT and the £100 Companies House fee, and keeps your home address off the public record. You get everything in the Certified Package plus a registered office in London or Edinburgh and a director service address for the first year, a virtual trading address, a free .co.uk domain and your first board meeting minutes. The company is usually registered within 24 hours of us receiving your details.

What's included

Everything in Certified, plus:

  • The £100 government fee Companies House charges to register a new company. It's already included in our price — there's nothing extra to pay.
  • We check your proposed name against the Companies House register and the naming rules, and suggest alternatives if it's taken or needs approval.
  • The official certificate from Companies House proving your company exists, with its name, number and date of incorporation.
  • The memorandum records who founded the company; the articles are the company's rulebook — how directors make decisions, how shares work and more.
  • A document for each shareholder showing how many shares they own. You'll often need it to open a bank account or prove ownership.
  • The legal records every company must keep: members (shareholders), directors, people with significant control and more. We set them up for you.
  • Every director and person with significant control must verify their identity with Companies House. As an Authorised Corporate Service Provider (ACSP) we can do it for you remotely and give you your personal code.
  • A six-character code from Companies House that works like your company's signature for online filings. Keep it safe.
  • We register your new company with HMRC for Corporation Tax, so you're set up to pay tax on profits from the start.
  • Track your order, fill in company details, download your documents and message our team in one place — and ask us questions for as long as you're a client.
  • The legally required checks on the people behind a company (UK Money Laundering Regulations). We complete them as part of your order.
  • Lifetime email and phone support
  • Your certificate, articles and share certificates printed on quality paper — useful when a bank or authority abroad wants originals.
  • The memorandum records who founded the company; the articles are the company's rulebook — how directors make decisions, how shares work and more.
  • We send your printed documents to you anywhere in the world by post.
  • Your company's official address on the public register, where Companies House and HMRC send letters. Ours keeps your home address private; we scan and email your official mail.
  • The address shown publicly for each director instead of their home address. Your home address still goes to Companies House but stays private.
  • A professional business address you can put on your website, invoices and marketing.
  • A free .co.uk web address matching your company name, registered for you.
  • A written record of the company's first board meeting, which approves things like issuing shares and opening a bank account.

Why privacy matters when you form a company

The Companies House register is public. Anyone can search it online, free of charge. It shows your company's registered office address and, for every director, a correspondence address called the service address.

If you form a company using your home address for either of these, your home address becomes public. The Privacy Package lets you use our professional addresses instead.

What this package adds

Everything in the Certified Package, plus:

  • Registered office address in London or Edinburgh for the first year. This is the company's official address. Letters from Companies House and HMRC are sent here and we let you know when they arrive.
  • Director service address for the first year. This replaces your home address as the address shown publicly for you as a director.
  • Virtual trading address, a professional address you can show on your website, invoices and letterheads.
  • Free .co.uk domain name that matches your company name, if available.
  • First board meeting minutes, so your company has a written record of its first decisions.

London or Edinburgh?

The registered office must be in the same UK nation as the company is registered in. A London address is used for companies registered in England and Wales. An Edinburgh address is used for companies registered in Scotland. Tell us which you prefer and we will set up the company in the right place.

What stays private and what does not

Your residential address is still given to Companies House, but it is kept on a protected record and is not shown on the public register. Your name, month and year of birth, nationality and country of residence remain public — this is the law for all UK companies.

If your home address already appears on the register from an earlier company, it will not be removed automatically. You can ask Companies House to remove old addresses in some cases; we can explain the options.

How it works

  1. Check your company name and pay online.
  2. Choose London or Edinburgh and complete the company details form in your client account.
  3. We verify the identity of each director and person with significant control remotely, as a Companies House ACSP, and give each person their personal code. Anyone who prefers can verify through GOV.UK One Login instead.
  4. We submit the application using our addresses.
  5. When the company is registered you receive digital documents straight away, followed by printed, bound documents by post.

What you need to provide

  • The proposed company name
  • Full name, date of birth, nationality and residential address for each director and person with significant control
  • Shareholder names and number of shares
  • A brief description of what the company will do
  • A registered email address for Companies House to contact the company

After the first year

The registered office and director service address are included for the first year. After that they renew at our standard prices — see Registered Office Address and Director Service Address. We remind you before renewal.

Common mistakes to avoid

  • Using your home as the registered office "just for now". Changing it later is possible, but the old address stays in the company's public filing history.
  • Choosing an office in the wrong nation. A Scottish company cannot use a London registered office, and an English company cannot use an Edinburgh one.
  • Using a service address for trading from premises. Our addresses are for official mail and correspondence. If customers visit you, you will need your own premises.

Frequently asked questions

Will my home address be shown on Companies House?

No. With this package the public register shows our registered office and our service address for you. Your residential address is given to Companies House but kept on a protected record.

What is a director service address?

It is the correspondence address shown on the public register for each director. Using ours means your home address does not appear publicly.

What happens after the first year?

The registered office and service address renew at our standard yearly prices. We remind you before the renewal date, and you can move to your own address at any time.

Can I choose London or Edinburgh?

Yes. London is for companies registered in England and Wales, and Edinburgh is for companies registered in Scotland, because the registered office must be in the same nation as the company.

Can I use the virtual trading address on my website?

Yes. It is a professional address you can show on your website, invoices and stationery. It is not a place to meet customers.

Does this package register my company for VAT?

No. VAT and PAYE registration are included in the Fully Inclusive Package.
