Business email setup

An email address on your own domain looks more professional than a free account and is easier to keep when staff change. We set it up and secure it properly.

In short: £195 covers setting up professional email on your own domain with Google Workspace or Microsoft 365. We add the DNS records (MX, SPF, DKIM and DMARC), create up to 3 mailboxes and your aliases, and send you a guide to set it up on your phone and computer. You pay the email provider's subscription directly. Setup is usually done within 2–3 working days of receiving access to your domain.

What's included

  • Help choosing Google Workspace or Microsoft 365
  • Account setup with you as the account owner
  • Domain verification with the provider
  • MX records so email reaches your mailboxes
  • SPF record
  • DKIM signing
  • DMARC record
  • Up to 3 mailboxes
  • Aliases, such as info@ or accounts@
  • Test emails sent and received
  • Written guide to set up email on phone and computer

Why use email on your own domain

An address like anna@yourcompany.co.uk tells customers, banks and suppliers they are dealing with a real business. It stays with the company, not with one person's private account. And when it is set up correctly, your emails are less likely to land in spam.

Google Workspace or Microsoft 365?

Both are reliable. Google Workspace suits people who already use Gmail and Google Docs. Microsoft 365 suits people who work in Outlook, Word and Excel. We explain the differences and help you choose.

You pay the provider's subscription directly, usually per mailbox per month. That keeps the account in your company's name and under your control. Our £195 is for the setup work only.

The DNS records, in plain English

DNS records are settings on your domain that tell the internet how to handle your email. We set up four:

  • MX: tells other mail servers where to deliver email for your domain.
  • SPF: lists which servers may send email for your domain.
  • DKIM: adds a digital signature to your emails so receivers can check they have not been changed.
  • DMARC: tells receiving servers what to do with emails that fail the SPF or DKIM checks, and can send you reports.

Without these, your emails are more likely to be marked as spam or rejected, and it is easier for someone to send fake emails that look like they come from you.

How it works

  1. You choose a provider and the mailboxes and aliases you need.
  2. You create the subscription in your company's name, or we guide you through it.
  3. You give us access to your domain settings, or we tell you exactly what to add.
  4. We verify the domain, add the DNS records and create the mailboxes and aliases.
  5. We test sending and receiving.
  6. We send you the login details and a guide to set up each mailbox on your phone and computer.

What you need

  • a domain name, for example yourcompany.co.uk
  • access to the company where the domain is registered
  • the names for up to 3 mailboxes and any aliases
  • a payment card for the provider's subscription

If you ordered our Privacy Package or a larger package, you already have a free .co.uk domain we can use. Business email setup is also included in the Entrepreneurs Choice Package.

Moving from another email service

If you already have email on your domain, tell us before you order. Switching providers means changing the MX records, and old emails need moving separately. We can explain the steps, but moving existing mailboxes is not included in this price.

Common mistakes

  • Setting up mailboxes but forgetting SPF, DKIM or DMARC
  • Registering the subscription in a personal name instead of the company's
  • Using a separate paid mailbox where a free alias would do
  • Losing access to the domain account after setup

Frequently asked questions

Is the Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 subscription included?

No. You pay the provider directly, so the account stays in your company's name. Our £195 covers the setup.

What are SPF, DKIM and DMARC?

They are DNS records that prove your emails really come from your domain. They help your emails reach inboxes and make it harder for others to fake your address.

How many email addresses do I get?

We set up up to 3 mailboxes, plus aliases such as info@ or sales@ that deliver into one of those mailboxes.

Do I need my own domain?

Yes. If you do not have one, buy one first, or use the free .co.uk domain included with our Privacy Package and larger packages.

Can you move my old emails across?

Moving existing emails from another provider is not included. Tell us before you order and we will explain the options.

Will my emails never go to spam?

Nobody can guarantee that. Correct DNS records give your emails a much better chance of being delivered, but each receiver's spam filter makes its own decision.
