Who the Certified Package is for
Most UK organisations accept digital company documents. But some banks, payment providers, landlords, government offices and business partners — especially outside the UK — still ask to see paper documents. The Certified Package is for founders who expect that request.
You get the full Digital Package and, once the company is registered, we print your key documents, bind the articles of association and post the set to you.

Printed documents are not the same as legalised documents
A printed certificate is a copy of your company's official record. It is not certified by a solicitor or notary and does not carry an apostille.
If an authority abroad needs documents that are legally recognised in its country, you will usually need extra steps:
- Notarised Documents — a notary confirms the copy is genuine.
- Apostilled Documents — the UK government confirms the signature or seal so the document is accepted in countries that recognise apostilles.
- Certificate of Good Standing — confirms the company exists and is up to date with Companies House.
Ask the bank or authority exactly what format they need before you order. It saves time and money.
How it works
- Check your company name and pay online.
- Complete the company details form in your client account: directors, shareholders, people with significant control, registered office and business activity (SIC code).
- We verify the identity of each director and person with significant control remotely, as a Companies House ACSP, and give each person their personal code. Anyone who prefers can verify through GOV.UK One Login instead.
- We submit your application. When Companies House registers the company, your digital documents appear in your account.
- We print and bind your documents and post them to the address you choose.

- Shareholder names, addresses and number of shares
- A UK registered office address in the same nation as the company (England and Wales, Scotland, or Northern Ireland)
- A brief description of what the company will do
- A registered email address for Companies House to contact the company
- The postal address where you want the documents sent
Common mistakes to avoid
- Using a home address you want to keep private. The registered office is public. If you do not want your home address on the register, choose the Privacy Package or add our Registered Office Address.
- Assuming paper means certified. If you need documents for use abroad, check whether they must be notarised or apostilled.
- Giving an incomplete postal address. Include the full address, postcode and a phone number for the courier where possible.

What is the difference between the Digital and Certified packages?
Both form the same company and include the £100 Companies House fee. The Certified Package adds printed company documents and professionally bound articles posted to you anywhere in the world.
Can you post my documents outside the UK?
Yes. We post documents worldwide. Delivery time depends on the country and the postal service.
Are the printed documents certified by a solicitor or notary?
No. They are printed copies of your company documents. If you need them notarised or apostilled for use abroad, add Notarised Documents or Apostilled Documents.
Will I still get digital copies?
Yes. All documents are also stored as PDFs in your online account and sent by email when the company is registered.
Can I use my home address as the registered office?
Yes, if it is in the same UK nation as the company and you are happy for it to be public. To keep it off the register, use our Registered Office Address or the Privacy Package.
Do I need a printed certificate to open a UK bank account?
Usually not — most UK banks check your company online at Companies House. Some banks and partners abroad do ask for paper documents, which is why this package exists.
